The Northern Corridor Transit and Transport Coordination Authority (NCTTCA) is an intergovernmental agency that promotes regional cooperation and facilitates trade between Burundi, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, and South Sudan. The mission of NCTTCA is to transform the Northern Corridor into an economic and sustainable development Corridor that offers internationally competitive trade and transport services and promotes regional integration.
North Star Alliance is a public-private partnership that is establishing a network of roadside health clinics at major truck stops and border crossings in Southern and Eastern Africa. North Star Alliance (North Star) was founded in 2006 by the international post and parcel delivery company TNT, with support from the United Nations World Food Program (WFP). Roadside Wellness Centers offer a practical, low-barrier and low-cost response to the transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in the transport industry. The mission of North Star Alliance is to provide quality healthcare to mobile workers and the communities they interact with.

Our broad healthcare package covers primary healthcare, including malaria, tuberculosis, and emerging non-communicable diseases, HIV testing and treatment, sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR), behavior change communication and health education. North Star Alliance partners with NCTTCA to implement health programs along the northern transport corridor.
