Transport corridors drive trade, connect regions, and power economic growth yet significant potential remains untapped. Gaps in infrastructure, restrictive policies, health risks, and insufficient resilience investment continue to constrain performance. As global trade and mobility accelerate, the urgency to build corridors capable of withstanding shocks pandemics, supply chain disruptions, or climate events has never been greater.
The COVID-19 pandemic, Mpox, and Ebola outbreaks exposed the deep vulnerabilities of transport corridors, causing severe disruptions to trade, supply chains, public health systems, and economic development. These crises demonstrated that physical infrastructure investment alone is insufficient to ensure corridor resilience and health.
Jointly organized by the Northern Corridor Transit Transport Coordination Authority (NCTTCA) and North Star Alliance, the 3rd Regional Conference on Transport Corridors and Health will convene policymakers, financiers, development partners and experts, government officials, the private sector, and researchers. The conference incorporates a scientific component to showcase evidence and facilitate discussions on how technology and investment can transform transport corridors into healthier, safer, and more resilient engines of trade and economic development.

Centre the voices and needs of truck drivers, sex workers, traders, and children, who are the populations most affected by corridor health gaps and most systematically excluded from the solutions.
Accelerate the translation of research into action
Generate and share scientific evidence, technological innovation, and knowledge products that directly inform policy, investment, and practice decisions for corridor health.
